PREAMBLE

A cookie is a small text file identified by a name, consisting of a string of information transmitted to your browser when you browse a website. Through this file, information relating to your browsing on that site will be collected. Your web browser will then retain this file for a certain period in order to send it back to the web server each time you reconnect. These cookies are of different kinds and may serve different purposes.
This cookie policy informs you about the various types of cookies that may be placed on your browser while you browse the Site and is intended to protect the information you provide to us, where applicable, when you accept the installation of these cookies while using this Site, accessible at the following URL: www.agence-convergence.com (hereinafter the “Site”).
Our Privacy Policy informs you about the personal data processed by means of these cookies.
Please note that this cookie policy may be amended or supplemented at any time by Convergence, in particular in order to comply with any legal or technological developments. In such a case, the date of its update will be clearly indicated at the top of this policy. Such amendments shall be binding on you once you have been informed that the updated cookie policy has been posted online and you have accepted it.

ARTICLE 4.     COOKIES

The purpose of this article is to describe each of the Cookies that may be placed on your Browser, their purposes and their period of validity.

4.1.    General overview of Cookies

4.1.1.    First-party and third-party Cookies

As stated above, Cookies are downloaded to your Device via your Browser when you first visit the Site.
When you subsequently browse the Site using the same Device, that Device will be recognised by our Site, enabling us to personalise the Cookies we offer you.
These Cookies may be first-party Cookies. In that case, they are managed entirely by Convergence. We are therefore responsible for managing these Cookies and are able to provide you with information about each of them.
These Cookies may also be placed by third parties. In that case, Convergence has no control over the settings of these Cookies. You should contact each of these third parties to obtain further information on how they use Cookies.

4.1.2.    Persistent Cookies and session cookies

Each Cookie differs in its lifespan. In this respect, a Cookie may be persistent or merely a session Cookie.
A persistent Cookie is a Cookie stored on your Browser until its retention period expires or until you choose to delete it before that expiry date.
A session Cookie is a Cookie which, by contrast, is deleted when you close your Browser.

4.2.    Necessary Cookies

These include, in particular, session identifier cookies, authentication cookies, load-balancing session cookies and cookies used to personalise your interface.
These Cookies may be placed by the Third Parties listed in the table below.
You may block these Cookies using the procedure described below. However, as this category of Cookies enables you to access all of the site’s features, blocking them may cause certain parts of the Site to malfunction.

ARTICLE 5.     COOKIE CONFIGURATION

When you connect to the Site, a banner appearing on your screen informs you that information relating to your Browsing may be recorded in files known as Cookies. You will then be able to configure the Cookies placed on your Browser during your first Browsing session, and will be able to change these choices at a later date.

5.1.    Configuration during your first Browsing session

When you first connect to the Site, a banner will appear enabling you to configure the Cookies you wish to have placed on your Browser.
This banner briefly explains the purposes of each of the Cookies detailed above and enables you, on a case-by-case basis, to refuse or accept the placing of Cookies according to their nature.
Acceptance is given by ticking the “I accept” box, and refusal by ticking the “I refuse” box. If you wish, you may also accept the placing of all Cookies by clicking on “I accept all Cookies”. Conversely, you may refuse the placing of all Cookies by clicking on “Refuse all Cookies”. In the latter case, only necessary Cookies will be placed on your Browser.
In the absence of any manual configuration on your part, and therefore of any choice as to the Cookies you wish to have placed on your browser, only necessary Cookies will be placed on your Browser.

5.2.    Configuration during your subsequent Browsing sessions

You may change the configuration chosen during your first Browsing session at any time. You can do so via the Site’s cookie banner.
The Internet User may also delete or disable the use of Cookies whenever he or she wishes by changing his or her browser settings.
Indeed, each Browser offers its own Cookie management settings. The Internet User may configure his or her browsing software so that Cookies are rejected, either systematically or according to their issuer.
The Internet User may also configure his or her browsing software so that he or she is asked to accept or refuse cookies on a case-by-case basis, before a cookie can be stored on his or her device.
Finally, the Internet User may also access all the Cookies whose placement he or she has consented to and change his or her configuration on a case-by-case basis if he or she so wishes.
As regards the management of cookies and the Internet User’s choices, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in the browser’s help menu, which explains how to change your cookie preferences:
-    For Internet Explorer;
-    For Safari;
-    For Chrome;
-    For Firefox;
-    For Opera.
For further information on cookie management tools, you can consult the dedicated page on the website of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) here.

5.3.    Renewal of your configuration

In order to ensure that your configuration remains consistent with the Cookies used by Convergence, as well as with your wishes, Convergence may ask you to renew your Cookie configuration.
This configuration renewal will take place every 12 (twelve) months, from the date on which you confirmed your most recent configuration. Exceptionally, in the event of a substantial change to the Cookies used by Convergence, this renewal may take place before the expiry of this 12 (twelve) month period.
